How to change "ads expire after" days for the sub-categories?
Using the simple yet powerful admin-panel of SNetworks PHP Classifieds script you're able to make changes to the default Ads expire after days. This is the number of days an ad post will stay valid in the sub-categories until it expires.
For example, by default it might be set to 7 days for Jobs > Human Resource category. Whereas if a user posts an ad in Human Resource category (while assuming there's no posting fee configured) then the user shall be able to post their ads for free for 7 days. After 7 days the ads will expire unless or otherwise the user renews it or pays for any extended ads plan options. As an admin you're able to configure different number of ads expiry days for different subcategories of yours.
This can be assigned easily when you're creating/editing your categories/subcategories by following the steps below:
- Login to your admin panel by going to yoursite.com/admin using your username/password.
- Click on Categories link from the left hand panel.
- Click Add New button at the top for adding new category if not click on existing category name from the list (in our example we'll click on Jobs).
- Upon clicking on Jobs, it will open the page with the list of all the sub-categories underneath the parent category.
- Click Add New button if adding new sub-category if not click Edit icon which is the pencil icon next to the sub-category name. In our case we would click pencil icon next to Human Resouces.
- In the 3rd row, you will be able to see the field that says Ads expire after. By default it might be 3 days or 7 days based on the Suite you're using. Change from 3 days to 10 days for example.
- Once edited the values then click Save button at the bottom to save the changes made.
The changes should take effect immediately for the particular sub-categories. Thereafter any ads that are being posted in that particular sub-category, the ad will expire after that defined number of days.
